I ve been tempted to acquire a sealed in box n64 controller in order to replicate the stick assembly in steel or tungsten carbide.

If it does then it s worth taking it apart and lubricating the base of the stick and the parts it comes in contact with.
If i get enough interest maybe i ll make a video showing how to correctly grease the base of the n64 analog stick although you gotta have a little bit of your own talent to open and close the n64 controller properly.
