Just replaced front brake pads and rotors on this vehicle.
Ceramic brakes grinding noise.
In the few miles that i have drove the car the rears have a lot of dust building up on them.
When you spin the rear tires on the jack they are making contact but spin free.
Everything was fine braking power was great and i ve never.
I was very careful during the break in period for about 600 miles.
It is only when i start moving forward never in reverse and it quits within 30 seconds.
I now prefer wagner thermoquite.
He put on ceramic brakes not certified toyota parts.
If hitting your brakes makes the noise go away i recommend you start with having the brakes checked to be sure you re not hearing the brake pad wear indicator warning you that the brakes pad need to be changed soon.
I have never done a brake set up like this before is this normal or did i do something wrong on the install.
I ve noticed a grinding groaning type noise when applying the brakes.
It was fine for a day or so and then i started to hear this rubbing noise.
So i replaced the rotors and the pads with ebc oem replacements.
Sometimes it s very loud sometimes not.
I ve had the same thing from the autozone duralast ceramic pads.
The pedal will feel like it is grinding under your foot.
In a safe area take the car up to a speed of around 35 miles per hour and apply the brakes only using moderate pressure.
If you are on a slippery road or just push the brake as hard as you can that odd grinding feeling is probably your anti lock brake system.
If your brakes are grinding odds are the brake pads are worn and need to be replaced.
Bring the car down close to 0 mph but do not stop the car entirely.
Hi guys my old honda rotors were so warped that you could feel the car pulsating when i braked.
